Bespoke, tailored garments as an act of queer interspecies solidarity. The process requires careful consideration, measurements, fitting, tests, trials, just as with fine tailoring of clothes
for people. The process forces me to be attuned - or taylored - to the subject matter at hand, treating the tree not as an object to extract material or pictorial pleasure from, but as a fellow being to cater for. The process brings one into close proximity with the tree and requires me to augment my thinking towards the life and existence of the tree - understanding the geometry and dimensions of its being, and in turn making one reflect on how it has grown, how it has been affected by and affect the ecology it is situated within.
